The Kitchen Renovation Before & After

This is the kitchen renovation before & after that took place last year!

It's still hard to believe that theses rooms are the same!

Above: A new wall was build between the kitchen & living space.
New tongue & groove pine boards were installed on walls & ceiling.

 Above: Removed pine flooring and installed a new one.

 

 

 

Above: This is the end result!
We painted all the walls, ceiling, door, table, chairs and lights white.

The kitchen cabinets are from IKEA.
The flooring is from the Home Depot.

The Kid's Room Renovation

My husband and I remodeled most of the rooms in the current home we live in.
We are not professionals so the end result is not so perfect.
But we enjoy the process and the feeling of accomplishment!

This is the kid's room renovation that took place last year.
This room was used as storage before.

Above: The walls were ruff cut pine and made the room sooo dark.

Above: We replaced insulation & flipped the boards so that the smooth sides were facing.

Above: Walls & ceiling were painted white.

Above: Plywood floor was installed. Budget friendly!

 Above: A couple of coats of polyethylene was applied.
For some reason, the floor looks very orange but it's not.

We Just Bought A Farmhouse!

My husband and I just bought a farmhouse built in 1837 (or older). 

It needs a lot of work; no insulation throughout the house, leaking roof, no running water, etc.

We are planning to remodel this house by ourselves as much as we can.
